Viewing your client’s Macquarie Cash Management Account (CMS) balance online – FAQs

From Monday, 25 September, you will automatically be provided with ‘Enquiry Authority’, via ‘Third Party Authority’ on all client Macquarie Cash Management Accounts (CMAs) linked to an Equity&Super share trading account.

By having visibility of your clients’ CMA closing balance (as at the previous day), you can be more informed and aligned about the recommendations you make.

You will be able to view your clients' end of day cash balance on the ‘Place Order’ page by selecting ‘Display Available Exposure Limit’.

You will not be able to make transactions on your clients’ CMA, change any account details or close the account.

To enable view-access:

For clients with existing CMA accounts linked to a trading account

From 21 August, all clients with an existing CMA linked for settlement will be contacted and given the opportunity to opt-out of providing their adviser view-only access to their CMA via this website.

As part of Macquarie’s disclosure and negative consent process of granting third party access to you, any clients who may be concerned about having their cash balances visible to you on the website will have the option to opt-out. Your clients will be given up until 8 September 2023 to notify us should they wish to opt-out.

For clients with new CMA accounts linked to a trading account

To enable view access on any new client cash account after 8 September 2023, you will need to provide Macquarie with your client’s consent to share this information with AUSIEX (as a third party). This can be done using the Macquarie third party authority form.

To remove access to view a client’s cash balance on this website you will need to contact Macquarie directly to remove AUSIEX third party consent.


Frequently Asked Questions

Where am I able to view my client’s cash balances?

From 25 September 2023, your clients’ CMA balances can be viewed on the ‘Place Order’ page within the ‘Listed Securities’ and ‘Conditional Order’ sections of this website. Select the ‘Display available exposure limit’ to view the balance information.

Is cash balance visibility available for all linked cash settlement accounts?

Yes, cash balance visibility is available for all linked CMA’s provided your client has not opted-out of providing you ‘Enquiry Authority’.

Will I be able to view cash balances in real time?

CMA cash balances will be refreshed daily overnight.
